We begin our interactions with the world through play. Games, rhymes, objects and even taunts from childhood reverberate in the adult psyche. REplay uses such childhood remembrances to examine the psychological spaces of memory. An adult body tries to remember the magic and horror by enacting old gestures. Personal and fictional stories are told in an attempt to reconcile present and past. The installation particularly reconsiders a queer female point of view. |
