by using images of the self, focusing on
personal insecurities. In my recent works,
I use myself as the main character either
crocheting with oversize hooks or sitting
in front of the camera confronting my
insecurities about my body.These insecurities
are the way I perceive myself compared to
other women in the world.Kimberly's Secret,
a video work, adopted its name from a
lingerie company, which appears to focus
its attention on making a woman feel more
attractive. In Kimberly's Secret, I am
wearing a bra covered with human hair,
smoking a cigarette, attempting to feel
attractive; but actually experiencing
discomfort. I face the viewer inviting,
yet confronting him/her to look at me
and see the beauty I possess.
