I document everyday gestures and repetitive behaviors in my work. I am interested in human behaviors that appear mechanical and the fine line that distinguishes ”normal” behavior from unhealthy or pathological” behavior. In my recent video installation I documented the marching bands at the Bush inauguration. Using video, drawing and sewing, I explore productive associations among themes of mechanization, nationalism and my own productive process
