Mark Marchesi was born and raised in Rye, NY, and moved to Portland, ME to attend Maine College of Art in 1995. Since receiving his BFA degree in photography in 1999 Mark has traveled extensively around North America and Europe making images of the landscape and shooting documentary video.

Mark's photographs have been exhibited in group shows in New York, Maine, Oregon, and Florida, and his video about lobster boat racing in Maine was shown at the Berkley Film Festival in California. Currently he is living in Maine, constantly making new images and looking forward to becoming a father in June.
